Night Drawing


Sometimes last minute, night before drawings come out better than you expect.  

Figure drawing for class. I couldn’t get anyone to model for me this week, so I had to myself. I’m satisfied with how it turned out. The proportions are slightly off between my legs and head.

This is also from painting class.  It should have been posted before the colour one, but it got forgotten.  Besides my riveting stare, I think this came out ok.

I didn’t get a chance to finish this before my lighting changed, but I think it is a decent attempt  at a painting-sketch. I have never done any portraiture, but I think it is growing on me.

Here is a self portrait of myself that I did in drawing class. The proportions are a bit wonky, but I have never been able to do decent self portraits so I’m not complaining. This is done with vine charcoal; The most easily smudged medium in the world.
