Point Pleasant Beach Fort

Today was one of the nicest days so far this year.  The sun was shining from behind a thin layer of cloud and there was a regatta taking place in the mouth of the Halifax harbour.  The structure on the left is one of many old World War Two bunkers in the park.  This one has been partially restored with a couple of concrete pillars but is mostly in a state of disrepair.  I find the corrosive relationship between manmade things and the natural world fascinating.
